What is Peterson's deal? Boise's luck will only run for so long. They don't have ANYTHING to offer recruits except that they've been a good team for a few years.

His deal is he's happy in Boise, barring an epic scandal he's untouchable. Having his 2 predecessors fail miserably after leaving Boise State has to be a factor as well.

I understand the low-pressure environment in Idaho(barf), but I just don't think that Boise State's success is very sustainable. They get very average recruiting classes and once they are in a real conference(assuming the Big East goes as planned) they will be exposed.

He invisions a pretty clear ride to the BCS for the next few years and he can do it without having to beat USC, Oregon, Washington, etc.

Being in a real conference will improve their recruiting, they won't keep rolling off 11 + win seasons yearly but they'll contend for the conference title. Why give that up to coach at some pressure cooker where it's likely he'll fail to duplicate the success he's had at Boise State?

I agree with the first part -- some of us are happy with what we have, simple as that -- there's no need to disrupt it.
