CUSA Championship Game should be interesting
Because it looks like neither coach will be there next year. Maybe not even next week.

That was actually a serious question, I haven't heard anything about Fedora.

Kansas seems to be the place. But if if aTm fires Sherman then he and Sumlin would really like to have that job.

Re: CUSA Championship Game should be interesting
Before USM lost to UAB, I thought this would be a very winnable game for USM and thought they were actually better than UH because of their physicality / defense. Now, I'm not so sure especially after UH beat the crap out of Tulsa (I thought Tulsa would have put up a much better fight). Should still be a pretty good game, though. I see the point of pulling for UH (more money to the conference and helps with BE reputation), but I'd still prefer to see USM beat the [deleted] out of them ...

Re: CUSA Championship Game should be interesting
UH's defense has improved a lot over the season. They only need a couple stops because their offense is going to put up 40
Re: CUSA Championship Game should be interesting

Is Fedora not in play at Ole Miss? Would think he would make more sense there.

Larry Fedora's name is getting strong play for the Arizona State job and the one at North Carolina. InsideCarolina.com reported Friday that Fedora will soon interview with UNC.
Sumlin's name never gained much traction at Ole Miss, it seems, but Fedora did.
Although search committee co-chairman Archie Manning has said little publicly about the Ole Miss search, the two names most prominently mentioned in reports have been Fedora and Louisiana-Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth.
Hudspeth withdrew his name this week and Fedora has deflected all talk about other jobs while preparing for the CUSA Title game.

Maybe Ole Miss should just hire Hugh Freeze and be done with it. Sounds like no one else wants the job.

Another reason why not to embrace Crap USA... because if your program does exceptionally well, all coaches (except the ones going to retire after) just jump to a big conference. Another importance of conference and AQ.
