The whole Big East expansion thing has turned into a joke. There is no more excitement or buzz, and if it does come to fruition, which seems like a BIG IF at this point, I can't see it going off with anything bigger than a whimper. I think it would be better for SMU in the long run to join in the long run...I THINK...but I'm almost to the point where I don't give a [Gary Patterson] any more.

Remember no one is following this except guys like us on fan boards...go ask friends from other universities ( or even others from SMU who aren't on these boards) if they know whats going on with all of this BE stuff. I have, and no one knows whats happening and they probably don't care either. If UH and Boise State are still in the Top 10 in the BCS standings, it will still make a splash IMHO.
It's funny as I have a multi--million dollar Commercial real estate deal that we are selling and is extremely complicated with many facets of agreements and estoppels, and its been in and out of the title Company for the last 4 months and was dead several times, just as the BE dealings, but yesterday we finalized the final details and it closes..guess what?......yes, next week! Good omen for the BE announcement methinks!
