The Ponies beat TxState rather handily. Perhaps my loving wife is right after all, that I have a pathetic addiction to Ponyfans.com & everything SMU...and an addiction in vain at that.

Not even a game thread tonight!

RGV, it was closer than the score indicates. The margin didn't widen until the final 8 minutes of the game, and then only slowly.

How could anyone like an 18 point victory over a glorified HS The Tubbs era has started with a thud. The guys are horrible.

tough to get very fired up in front of 500 people (I don't doubt the accuracy of that report tonight), but a win is a win and that's why these guys were on the schedule. There are fewer of us who care with each passing year. Must admit I was barely tuned into this one. Part of the reason is that I just got back from the hospital where Mrs CP is spending the night with tib/fib & clavicle fractures from a car wreck last night. God bless her, she told me to get home and check on the Ponies. She knows I'm beyond hope and will be here right until the last game, even if it's a 1st round loss in the battle of #7 vs #10 seed in the WAC Tourney

CP, best wishes to your wife. I wish we had 30,000 more Mustang wives like that. Hell, I'd be glad to know there were a hundred more.

CP, I hope your wife has a speedy recovery. She sounds as understanding about anything SMU as my husband is (and poor guy has to tolerate alumni band stuff as well).
