Smith: Ah, you noticed we played 14 games...meaning a conference final and a bowl game. Not done at SMU since 1982. Not a big deal. 5-1 as a frosh...unfortunately, winning in C-USA never was a problem for Padron. The losses were against OOC opponents. Didn't play any except Nevad the first year, and he was only the MVP there. Second year, set the records. Losses in OOC. SMU, the team wasn't ready to play the big boys (still isn't). 6-2 against Conf USA teams. 10-3 during reg season. Still the best winning % among SMU QBs since Lance in conf games. OOC, the team still sucks. 2011 OOC we go 1-3, same as 2010. Big exception is playing for a conf championship. Once every 29 years aint too bad.
