BCS Computer
Serious question for those of you who may know. Will BCS computer really give TCU props for beating horrible team at home, while USM beat #6 ranked team on the road to win a conferece championship ? I know Houston probably really not the #6 team, but USM won on the road with a championship on the line.
I thought computer was supposed to factor in strength of schedule in these things. Surely TCU's strength of schedule with UNLV, Colo. State. NEW MEXICO, etc. is as bad as USM. TCU did win at Boise but it was not a blow out and because Boise's kicker couldn't make a short FG.
I think TCU is a good team and much better than us of course and I am not anti-TCU. I just don't think a 2 loss team with their strength of schedule should get a BCS. If it was another team my opinion would be the same. If so, it makes no sense to play at Georgia like Boise did if there is no reward for it. Load up on patsies, lose even to an average team like us, and still get rewarded.

both teams beat a #6 non-aq team on the road and TCU has better losses with the same record.

Thanks. Just think if I was a 2 loss team from SEC, Big 10, etc. with better strength of schedule and didn't get the benefit of playing several UNLV, New Mexico, etc. types during the year that I would be upset.
I thought whole argument for the computer was to look more at strength of schedule and who people actually played, and give some benefit to teams even if they had a loss and it was to a quality opponent.

17 Baylor won and will stay in front of TCU, 20 Clemson won and will jump TCU, 15 Wisconsin and 13 Michigan State are in a nail biter and the loser isn't falling below TCU, 14 Georgia lost to 1 LSU and isn't falling below TCU either. 6 Houston, 5 VT and 10 Oklahoma all lost today to ranked teams and won't fall below TCU. Don't see the Frogs getting to 16.

I'm curious how this is gonna shake down. I see Michigan jumping Houston, and OU, eeking into 14. BUT does OSU jump Nebraska with the Human elemant? damn I hope so. I already saw Alabama lose at home to LSU.

Damn we need a playoff ... stating the obvious I know ... I'd love to see how far a team like USM would go or OK State or TCU or Boise ... 4 rounds top 25 with bowl-sponsored games AS the playoff games and rotate the championship game among the BCS bowl games just like now, start next week.

This guy is usually pretty reliable- says TCU will be on the outside looking in, and that OSU will edge out Bama for the National Championship game

Just think...if the Frogs could have handled us, they'd be a shoe-in for a BCS game!

I think the "human" element makes this a very real possibility. Not too many want to see a rematch in the title game and OSU made a statement last night. As for TCU...no team that lost to us on their home team deserves a BCS game. I expect Clemson to jump TCU in the final poll and there's a good chance both Wisconsin and Michigan St stay ahead of them after the game those two played last night.
Give TCU credit, though. They came back strong after we beat them
