Good that SW flies there. Just reserved a king suite at the redmont hotel. Anyone heard of it? It's apparently downtown. Looked at the sheraton but no suites came up on those dates. And for some reason, the look of the place kinda frightened me.

I would suggest Hilton perimeter park. Team stayed there last time. Nice hotel.

I stay at the Embassy Suites, which is close to downtown, when I visit Birmingham. Free breakfast and free Happy Hour. Ruth's Chris steakhouse onsite.
