MONDAY THE ROAD...HITTING THE DFW AREA TODAY BEFORE I HEAD OUT TO HOUSTON - LAFAYETTE AND THEN UP TO INDIANA TO SEE THE GUYS WHO ARE COMMITTED AND THE ONES WHO ARE STILL MAKING DECISIONS...HAVING SO MANY GUYS ALREADY COMMITTED GIVES US A CHANCE TO GET STARTED ON OUR 2013 CLASS...THE NEWS OF A THIRD STRAIGHT BOWL INVITATION AND THE MOVE TO THE BIG EAST ARE ALL POSITIVES THAT HAVE HELPED RAISE THE PROFILE OF THE SMU MUSTANGS IN THE EYES OF PLAYERS - PARENTS AND COACHES AROUND THE COUNTRY...WHILE WE POUND THE PAVEMENT OUR KIDS ARE IN THE WEIGHTROOM POUNDING THE IRON...BUILDING A TEAM NEVER STOPS...PONY UP!

Um, should coaches be making public statements about the Big East before it's official?

I appreciate that he is still doing his job. As of right now he is still at SMU, and should be recruiting like he is. That said, who knows what he is actually telling the recruits.

what do you think they've been telling recruits for the past two months? ESPN reported it, DMN reported it. I think it's out there.

the same AM radio hack who started that rumor via twitter, ended it via twitter this morning. 24 hour stunt to boost his national presence?

Louisville coaches have been telling their recruits they're going to the Big TXII.

i've said since i first heard this that it was public b/c he wanted to use it as leverage to gain something (debate all day what that is).

as quiet as things usually go down with final coaching decisions, especially w/ junes, this was way too public for him.
