wow, now that i think about it, with Case and Sumlin gone at UH, the west will be between us and Tulsa. could we actually get to host a CUSA champ game next year?

I like going to our third consecutive bowl game (for only the second time in school history--the first without illegally paid players), after 25 years wandering the wasteland. So I am going to give Jones credit for getting us here.

Uhhh everybody was paying players (the ones that were winning)... and are you going to be so naive to believe that they still arent paying players. Just wanted to point out that, since I hate when people think it wsa so horrible what SMU did, it was just that we did it better than the other schools.

No no, sorry for misusing better, I meant like we are richer, and got the better players. I feel private schools should be able to get away with paying players or at least get a budget hehe It can just be called the equitable attendance gap. 100,000 fans vs 20,000 kind of hard to convince recruits so we should get a few paid players!

I think he knows were in for a rough year with the schedule and dip in talent. Maybe he is trying to get another job while his stock is good. Because next year he will be very fortunate to win 5 or 6 games IMO.
