How does scout even have a site anymore? No breaking news, no good conversation about recruiting or the team. There are prob only a handful of subscribers left...I called to cancel my subscription and they said if they gave me 2 free months, would I reconsider? Jokes on me though, because I will def forget to call in cancel in 2 months.

Didn't read it that way at all. That final sentence is hers - basically calling out the fact JJ was speaking w/ASU and then two days later his agent trying to say everything is fine.
Not that she's for or against it, just it's BS to say everything is fine when you actively solicit another job.

Give Laken a break. She's basically a kid right out of college. Doesn't mean she isn't talented or isn't working hard.

Kate has more experience and, as a DMN reporter, she gets more access than most other media. She works hard to maintain that access, but people respond to phone calls and messages from the DMN more quickly than they will from others.

And if Laken is a pot-stirrer, then she's doing her job. The Scout and Rival sites have to stir the pot and acknowledge every mention of SMU to keep subscriber interest. It's just part of the business. If you subscribe to those sites, sometimes you have to be your own filter.

You are right on point. These kids, including the recruits, see the energy packed houses bring elsewhere. At SMU they play in front of friends and family. The UCF game should have been sold out. I could see the energy draining out of the team after that one.
