Very funny and very true. SMU not only has a "Lost Generation", we also an "Abused Generation".

I love that anyone that doesn't think June Jones is the antichrist, doesn't think Adrian Klemm is the best option for the next head coach at SMU and doesn't think SMU is the best job in the entire United States is stupid. He knows everything, and you don't.

Re: If June Leaves We Will Be OK
I am truly agnostic on JJ. As far as game preparation and what appears to be good practice results (seeing players know their roles), I think JJ does a great job. His game plan is ok, but what goes on beyond the endlines irritates me to know end. We could do worse.
With that said, there are a number of possibilities, one of my relatives was All Big-10 and saw his first SMU game PB's last year. While showing him the campus, he commented, there is no reason SMU can't win....it has more money than God.
We have demonstrated that last few years that we have the resources to do what needs to be done. The big question is taking the next step. There are proven coaches that we can get for the right money (and we do need to be in the Big East) and lure them to SMU.
One that comes to mind is Dantonio at Michigan State. The guy is winner. His base salary is 1.8 million. Who knows but seems to me we have the kind of cash to get someone like this. (I know its easy spending someone elses money).

Right on. If a supporter of any other team in college football is reading these threads, they probably think we're completely [deleted] insane as a fan base.
These are the facts, and they're indisputable:
JJ: 3 bowls in 4 years, after none since '86
AK: 3 years coaching experience, none as coordinator, and his unit was arguably the least impressive on the team this season given their experience
SMU: Maybe a BCS school in 2013 (next week?), terrible fan base, embarrassing attendance numbers

Re: If June Leaves We Will Be OK
Only 40% of all teams sit in Dec/Jan idle. We play in C-USA. Crazy amount of C-USA bowl tie-ins. We control who our opponents will be for 4 of the 6 games we need to win to get to a bowl. Getting to a bowl should be a minimum goal, not lifted as an accomplishment. The fact that it took so long shows how incompetent and misguided the administrations were that we allowed to operate.
