AK can coach. He was a volunteer for a personal reason. He was quickly elevated to O-Line coach. That position is a highly valued commodity. A HC doesn't just give that position to a rookie. Trust me, AK is a stud and we need him. Recruiting aside, the guy has a motor that never stops. Our Geritol group has to slow him down.

To clarify, by "he" I meant McMackin. He was the OC for Jones at Hawaii, and I think him not coming was the reason we never hired an OC. Bring him in as an OC and give us a potential head coach in waiting. It will help out with recruiting as well, especially if Klemm leaves.

McMackin was the DC at Hawaii. June has no OC because he calls all the plays. Making AK OC would be okay because JJ would still call the plays and could just mentor him into the position IMO.

If JJ leaves the only two in that group that are worth trying to keep are Mason and Klemm. Since they didn't follow him from the 'floating turd in the pacific' I wonder how much loyalty they have to him as opposed to getting a lot more money and higher level position.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah, personal reason being that Klemm is loaded (i.e. doesn't need the money) and is loyal to June. So before all you guys start anointing Klemm as the next messiah to step into June's shoes, remember that Klemm is extremely loyal to June and is more than likely to follow June if he goes somewhere else.
IMHO it's in our best interests to keep this coaching staff in tact.
