If the Jones/ASU connection was truly a power play by Jones, could it be to get McMackin hired at SMU? He is a DC and our defense is excellent, so perhaps Jones had to throw some weight around to get money to create a new position for him?

it is suspicious that McMackin quit Hawaii right after the ASU deal.

During the BYU/Hawaii game there was much talk about McMacklin not being brought back next year. I do not think this was a voluntary resignation.

Especially with the whole point shaving thing. Did you watch any of the BYU/Hawaii game? Some of those players could have been indicted based on their 3rd quarter performance alone
