Thanks for clearing that up. Eddie doesn't read websites, blogs or tweets but people always try to tell him what is written. I coach Eddie and let me tell you he makes everyone around him better. You are getting a great player but an even better person. Pony up!!!!

Start the Eddie for Heisman campaign! With the east coast media from the Big East it could really happen if he lives up to potential!

CoxMustangFan wrote:I'm not directing my comments to anyone in particular, but I would say I'm (along with thousands of other fans) very excited about Eddie Printz coming to SMU. While I'm excited to hear about all young men and women that want to join the SMU "family", I'm a little bit more excited about Eddie.

Here's why. While he's obviously a spectacular player, he seems like an A+ kid form an A+ family. This family has made a level-headed, drama-free decision to give their son an A+ education in the #1 growth metro in the US (and join a pretty darn good alumni network ... being modest).

Regardless of what happens with June Jones, you want/need bedrock leaders like what I envision Eddie will become. I look at leaders like Chuck Dannis (as just one of many examples) and wonder what SMU would be like without quality player-leaders. I don’t want to put too much pressure on a young kid, but I hope Eddie becomes another "face of SMU" for MANY MANY years to come. The kid has potential.
Chuck Dannis is a helluva guy.

How do we like our odds on Printz with JJ gone? I'm feeling a decommit any second now.

Oh yeah, he gone.

SMU is going to pay dearly with the loss of all these recruits. June will come out on the better end of this deal in the end. Get ready for a mass exodus.
