Chris Harper just switched commitment from SMU to ASU

Post by SMU 86 »

Per his tweet just now. They are dropping like flies now.

Thomas Brown committed last night to ASU. Marks says he will go where Coach Jones is going.

That sucks! I was really hoping he would go to SMU.

Let's see how many of those 21 recruits bail out.

I'm expecting Carl Hulick to be the ONLY California recruit that keeps his commitment to SMU. All the other guys committed to a coach, not a school

So what, 86. The way the pipeline was running into California this was going to happen whenever he left.

The guy never established routes here and maybe he didn't because he may have felt way back in the spring that 2011 was going to be his last year in Dallas. So he set it up this way that if a BCS job opened, he would have an easier time getting kids into that school then here, he would take those kids with him.

We were going to slide back anyway. It happens. We'll go on.

Even if he was from Texas usually a kid goes where the coach goes. Example is when Briles when to Baylor he took RG3 with him. I guess you think that if all were Texas kids they would stay if June wanted them to follow him. And what do you mean so what? If this continues it could set us back for years.

Absolutely, things won't look good for the immediate future if we lose Gilbert and Printz. I'm all for being optimistic, but that'd be a crushing blow to the program losing those two guys.

ASU has 23 commits on website. Leaves room for 5 or does JJ not honor the offers at ASU? Might tell some of our recruits "hey you were good enough for SMU just not ASU"

Can we send the Texas de Brazil Bill to ASU ? Seriously what a devastating blow to SMU. One two punch of biggest recruiting weekend ever and day of BE announcement.

He will get rid of those 2 star ASU recruits and cherry pick us.

Leaving on the day of the Big East announcement doesn't bother me that much, but June talking to ASU during our biggest recruiting weekend in 25 years, and having it turn out that the weekend pretty much turned into a recruiting weekend for ASU sickens me
