Okay mates...
Today, we're deboarding our tugboats and hopping onto much nicer ships, but our captains are staying ashore. Time to man up and steer these ships in the right direction. At least we still have solid ship owners (presidents and ADs).
Re: Okay mates...
Best wishes. I just hope we don't end up in a bidding war for the same skipper.

Our coach couldn't handle the nicer ship though, so he left for a junior college in Arizona.
Re: Okay mates...
I would have to agree that Houston is in a much worse situation than us. Sucks for both of us though.

Re: Okay mates...
Assume your band of 20 ($500K per person) would re-up for a new skipper?
So far, we aren't losing recruits because A&M has had a banner class.
It'll be interesting to see who the June Jones of football is this year, and whether that costs $2.5MM per year. Assume you go with a proven head coach vs. top assistant. HC is less risky but also more $$.

tsc- glad we're keeping the same company with different conference addresses. yes, our waters are a little choppy at the moment. I'm sure our new skipper will have us with the wind to our backs. Good luck in the BE (except when you play us).

Thanks for the post and comments and Congrats to you guys as well! It will be a fun ride with choppy waters ahead for both of us. Here's hoping we are the best of rivals and hold up the Texas contingent in the BE well!
