Breach of Contract?

Post by gostangs »

ok - you lawyers out there - June apparently accepted an offer form someone else - does that in any way breach his contract with us?

Not sure how he can effectively do his job going forward. That means we may have no choice but to dismiss him and hire someone else and let the courts settle the insuing dustup.

Breach of Contract?

Post by SMU Football Blog »

Not sure he is in breach of contract for accepting a deal in principle to coach somewhere else. His contract has a termination clause and no evidence he would have refused to pay it and no evidence he did in fact exercise it.

More interesting question is if he actively recruited SMU recruits to another institution using SMU resources. That is probably a bad, bad thing. However, I'm sure it was couched in hypotheticals and would be hard to prove.

Haven't read his contract, so don't know.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
