@aus10fromhous10: Gerald Ford: June's gonna be the coach. He wanted to go to ASU, "I'm just glad it didn't work out"

Weak sauce. I guess even the CoC is bowing at the altar of June.
Back off Warchild seriously.

NOT GOOD.

Our big money people & athletic director apparently don't have any pride in this institution.

They have to keep this public posture to keep the recruits interested in us and not look elsewhere.

Yes that's it you little girl. They pump $10,000,000 a year into the program so they just don't care.

I didn't say they didn't care. I said that they don't have any pride in this institution. As in, they are apparently OK with letting a guy who was ready to sign on the dotted line and was already recruiting ASU (and AGAINST SMU) continue to coach at SMU. They are letting SMU be used.

At this point, they have to show a united front.

They may not mean it, but for the good of the institution, they have to take this stand right now.

Coaches do this everyear.

Todd Graham was apparently out pimping himself after being @ Tulsa for one year.

Its just part of the industry.

Recruiting is way up, the big east will help that even more and hopefully he gets a good qb.

Realistically if SMU had a good QB we would be 9-3 if not better
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

Did Todd Graham ever use a recruiting weekend at Tulsa to recruit for another school at which he ended up not getting the job?

I wholeheartedly agree. At the end of the day our egos are bruised but how many people really heard about this whole situation? Good or bad, I don't think the universe revolves around SMU. Net result is Klemm will have to work his magic to massage this situation with the recruits. We as fans will forgive him if he wins. Most coaches we sign will use it as a stepping stone anyway. My biggest concern is a possible rift with the current players. I guess he will have to poison them against the SMU administration to save face. The biggest reason that I am disappointed is that based on what he has said, the person I thought he was, and his age I really thought he would retire after taking SMU to a BCS bowl or at least elevating SMU to that status.
