It will be interesting to see how quickly Turner/Orsini/CoC start to utilize this gift of leverage that June has now provided them. If he stays and is the head coach, it would seem that the administration is now far better positioned to make demands of the head coach rather than the other way around...particularly since it won't be as hard to get rid of him after this season if he pulls the same mess.

I have always been a big June Supporter, and I think he was the catylist that took us from a joke to sitting at the children's table in the grand scheme of things. (Although Steve O is who we can really thank) Saying that, I don't see how he can continue to be our coach. I can put up with the Lei and the refusal to wear our colors for consistant 12-0 and 11-1 seasons with a shot at a BCS bowl, but 7-5 and a trip to Alabama makes the act wear a little thin. His actions over the last few days has made me realize that he doesn't respect the hilltop and the "circle of champions" paying his contract. How can he regain the confidence of his players, recruits, and most importantly the circle after this. It is ironic that one AD lost his job for not signing June, and now another one will for trying to. I say for 2-2.5 millisky and an upgrade in conference, we should be able to get a good coach that is more committed to the University and doesn't play gimicky footbaall. Just when you think Applebowden is completely dead, he reappears stronger than ever.

Sheldon has many warts. One of those kept him from being a Pac 12 coach today. I can see a few players taking issue with his "job search" every 12 months. Don't think for a moment that every coach recruiting against us will comment on how Sheldon III has tried to leave SMU 2 years in a row.....that we know of.
