Our SMU players

Post by Gotcha »

I really feel for our guys. They learned a life lesson today. As stated previously, I'm sure many will relook their commitment to Jones realizing that he hasn't any commitment to them.

hopefully the majority of our players are smart enough to know they came to school here because they saw something they liked in SMU. Coaches come and go. Any school is bigger than it's football coach

But what if your coach is too "big" to fail, like Gary Fatterson?

I agree with you, however, most 18 year old football players come for the football. Everything else is second.

Perhaps someone from the administration should visit with the team in private to find out what, if anything, affected the team the second part of the season. What do they want from SMU and the fans to make their situation better. And, how do they feel about playing under the current coaching staff. I would hope Jones could pull this thing back together and continue to make improvements and become a coach that any team would want. But, everything depends on the kids who wear the helmets.
