I think everyone understands the idea of capitalism, not trying to demean your comments, However, most feel betrayed as to how Jones went about this fiasco. The recruiting weekend, discussing ASU with recruits while on SMU's dime, the lack of energy displayed by the team and coaches the back half of the season. If you remember, I posted that Jones was in AZ visiting with ASU. Plenty of folks attacked me, however, I knew about it and his plans for relocation. I'm not criticizing Jones for trying to better himself, however, the manner and style in which he did was egregious. He's lucky SMU hasn't drop kicked his [deleted] off of Mockingbird. How much of a blow would that be to his ego?

I supported his opportunity to interview elsewhere, its a free market. I don't support his choice to steal recruits for his new school while still on SMU's dime, waste school funds to talk to another school, risk a serious recruiting weekend by spending all his time talking to another school, and then accept a job offer at another school and when it fails tries to slink back in. June sold himself as SMU as being more than a job, but partially a calling from God, he put himself to held to higher standards and has now fallen flat on his face and hopefully into some of Peruna's waste.
