I've heard that only from you. Is that an assumption based on circumstances or do you have evidence to back that up?

Based on what are you sure it was wrong, Nick? Please share your facts.

Please share yours, what facts do you have to substantiate your claimed verbal take it or leave it from ASU? There are none.

IF was fully outlayed on rivals how this all went down...i would tell you to join, but it had to be taken down because AD office didnt want it out for the very reason that deals arent done until they are done, and the press from those details could make people sour on JJ, and it has...
However, they guy is 75 25 going to be the coach here, Circle of champs, orsini are doing an excellent job...
We can start searching while he is around or we can give Klemm a test run for free at how he would be at the job. I like option 2, but many disagree, and thats ok, even though they are wrong...

I'm down with all that re a change. But let me know when you want to present any facts here that showed June did anything wrong other than forgetting to wear a pony polo on game day. Thanks.

Not fair to stand on your assumptions and call for everyone else to substantiate their opinions with irrefutable facts, ponyboy. Not very convincing for your point either.

I think we're all supposed to *assume* the best until facts show otherwise.

Boy I don't, but I'm not normally a glutton for punishment (last thirty years of SMU fandom notwithstanding). I think assumptions should be tailored to the facts known, and the facts known in this case, which are well documented in media outlets, do not support your preferred assumption. I think the prudent thing to do when you are faced with potential treachery is to root it out before you get hurt. Big believer in fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Re: There must be something seriously wrong with me
I don't want Steve Orsini adopting the philosophy that, Hey, I'll just trust you. He needs intense discovery before coming to a conclusion. But in the end, absent facts to the contrary, you just have to trust folks.
Look, as a fan, and not a decision maker, I've seen nothing to implicate June Jones in any way. He hurt my feelings a little by wanting to leave, and I understand some didn't like his style. But I have been told before that there has been ongoing conflict -- that all is not rosy in SMU's structure for making it easy to win. And he's done what we asked him to do, i.e. save this program.
Anyone is free to present me facts to change my mind. I see nothing that June Jones has done wrong here.
