I thought JJ was in NY the last couple of days looking for a better job, and was flying to Birmingham. How would he be able to have a team meeting.

The first team in NCAA history to have a coach that would take a job that moves them up the ladder. Shocking. Time for the players to take another step in developing into a man and realize sometimes people look at and would take other opportunities when presented.

Anyone who thinks this was about June earning more money for his family is beyond naive. Face it June hates it here...for some reason only he and probably a few know....I don't want a coach here who doesn't want to be here. I just hope he leaves soon and I don't believe the players will have the same respect for him.

At this morning's unofficial team meeting, Sheldon told the team he is staying. He admitted that he wanted the ASU job. He also told them he had a "spiritual revelation.". God wanted him to stay at SMU. Some players immediately called BS. Some discussed transferring, and others said Sheldon should leave. Sheldon forgot to say that God spoke to him through the voice of ASU's largest booster who pulled the offer off the table. I think most of the players learned something today.
