Give Klemm a raise, Move him up the ladder
Not going to hurt anything, and a lot to gain. Nick- you are the #1 guy championing for this to happen. What is the downside of pushing for Klemm to get promoted and be more involved?

I actually think jj might have sufficiently pissed off the circle of champions so much they might clear everyone out next year and go big...but it's our best short term option

You might be right about that one.

Re: Give Klemm a raise, Move him up the ladder
It is my (unsubstantiated) understanding that our assistant coaches are the highest paid in CUSA or maybe even among all non-AQ schools. It is my further understanding that what June is asking for is for his assistant coaches to be paid on par with BCS schools.
I think that especially in light of the additional $8-13 million anticipated from joining the BIG EAST that this is not an unreasonable request. A lot of these coaches (Mason, Reinebold, others?) have enough skins on the wall from their pro coaching careers to make me think they're experienced and talented enough to warrant a competitive BCS-size salary. And as for Klemm, although he doesn't need the money (and since he worked as a GA for free, is clearly not motivated by the desire to accumulate it), my feeling it that he could walk into any PAC 10 school and get hired on the spot for just about anything he asked for. So just because it's the right thing to do -- because he DOES deserve to be compensated in a manner commensurate with his contribution to our program and with his value as one of the best up and coming recruiting coordinators in the country -- he should be paid like a Top 25 (or better) recruiting coordinator.

They are paid as well as many bcs programs jj asked for top 10 money. The school said once big east revenues came in they would be highest paid staff in big east.
The only 2 that deserve any money are klemm and mason.
Klemm is tweeting encouraging words from asu people wanting him to come without jj

feel free to send Klemm love on twitter/facebook/email.
Seems very apparent that he (like most of us) really likes the verbal support of people out there.
Can't hurt...
