as far as phillips goes, i think he is a great kid and tries very hard, but is not a good qb. i remember at the beginning of the season you people dogging eckert because he hasnt proven himself...what the heck has phillips proved??? Not a DAMN thing, and without eckert i believe we would have won only 1 game, and i KNOW what im talking about, because i am an athelete, not just some retired bang geek who thinks he know football; aint that right stallion???

I don't know what kind of athelete you think you are (learn to spell, fool, and mix in some punctuation every now and again), but you might consider switching to a sport that has more stringent drug use prohibitions, 'cause you're high--SMU might not win 9 or 10 over the next three seasons.

He can't get a 6th year without a hardship waiver. He has 5 years to finish 4 years of eligibility and the 6th year is not an option without a hardship waiver. The waiver is never granted solely upon wanting a 6th year, but must be based upon factors outside the players control, such as injury. Playing time is not considered outside the players control, however transfers because of coaching changes has been deemed outside the players control.
