ill be there. I dont support him or any other coach - i support SMU. Healing this situation short term is a must. Others will take care of the longer term.

i look forward to hearing your rant. I am sure it will turn the situation around with its incisive brilliance.

I don't rant a$$wipe and I am not real impressed with your insightful posts, since you have more of an interest in attacking SMU fans for venting some pent up frustrations rather than the coach who abandoned the team and your school on our most significant day in 25 years.

I love the calling out approach...

Actually, I'll be on a flight at 8:30 a.m. that morning for corporate meetings. And that was booked 3 weeks ago.

So deal with it, pal.

And, I wouldn't have a problem standing up in a room full of people and asking him a question.

It's a little easier than the go-along to get-along crowd just smiling and acting like nothing is wrong.

Glad Jones is showing up. My guess is that someone will announce that questions about Coach Jones and Arizona State are off limits and he won't answer those questions. I can hear the cavalcade of boos if that happens. The better questions would focus on (1) How will the team handle things now after his near departure? (2) Any word on whether we are losing any players this off-season? (3) Any academic casualties? (4) Have we lost any committed recruits in the last two weeks?

A considerable amount of evidence (not the least of which was the team's play) points toward the fact that the phoned in every game this season following the Central Florida win.

A significant amount of evidence seems to indicate that he may have been pointing recruits toward ASU on their official visit. I know, every coach does it... but most do it after they quit. Seems like he was doing it while still on SMU's payroll.

I don't think it should be a lynch mob, but I do want to hear SOMETHING that makes me believe that it won't happen again next year, or indeed, ever again.

Now we're on to something. So you're claiming:

1) The reason we lost late in the season is because June had already checked out and was considering alternatives to SMU.

2) While under the guise of recruiting for SMU, Jones' staff was actually pointing the recruits to Arizona State where he knew he'd end up

Can I ask for ANY evidence on those two claims? Do we have any other claims out there?

I mean, if I'm going to lynch someone, to impugn their honor, I'd better have more than what I have so far.

Actual Questions:
How is the QB situation for the bowl game? GG still transferring to SMU? How is KP, is he going to stay (wouldn't blame him if he left at this point)? Will we see an expanded run game at the bowl, or next year given we will have Line and some strong sophomores? Any academic casualties? Is last years 4* DE Moreland ever joining SMU? IPF timeline?

Your accusation was that either the fans would chicken out or go off unhinged with no middle ground. You don't think much about the dedicated fans we have. I won't bother reading your posts because you are not worth the time, and I look forward to your comments at the luncheon. Please feel free to introduce yourself. Lots will be able to point me out.

Internet tough guy fight. Just get some boxing gloves from Dedman Gym for a gentleman's discourse or tutus from Meadows for a classical dance off. Just keep it classy, this is SMU. None of that A&M glee club nonsense.

I'm not sure about that. June's a pretty cool customer and has been through this stuff before to the point that he knows how to handle an angry mob scene to the point to where everybody walks away forgetting why they were upset.

It's validated that the Monday after games when things went poorly, he can usually handle give an answer that will "open somebody's eyes.''

He knows what he's doing.
