Gill/Stoops CO-HC

Post by ponyfan08 »

I would love to have Turner Gill and Mike Stoops as co-head coaches. Dont know how it would work but both of them are great recruiters.

Is Mike Stoops still available?

Gill: 25-49
Stoops: 41-50

By the way Stoops only success at Arizona came when Sonny Dykes was his OC.

We need to bring in Sonny Dykes as OC/Asst HC for one year with the understanding that he'll take over for JJ after next season.

He's making $475k at LaTech...maybe we can entice him with a little more than that with the guarantee that he'll be a head coach the next season.

To avoid a mess like the Holgorsen-Stewart fiasco at WVU from this past offseason, it would just be best for Orsini/CoC to name Dykes the coach if he's their guy.

I always thought that Spike Dykes was at TT. Isn't that his father?

Think he means a State of Texas legend, not a UT legend.

Not looking good right now but I am working on it. Got to see what my office is like after being off this week and then my assistant is leaving between Christmas and New Years. Believe it or not, early January gets busy in the low income home buyer business. They are all planning their use of large tax refunds and many are deciding to buy houses. Tough to leave.
