Cal Offers Chris Harper

Postby StallionsModelT » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:19 pm

Per twitter. He has said repeatedly that if Cal were to offer he would commit.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Jesus-he got the report from one of the No. 1 recruiting experts on the West Coast. The original source believes a commitment to Cal could be imminent. Please if you can't handle negative recruiting information please find something else to read. I appreciate knowing what is going on. This attacking the messenger [deleted] is getting real old real quick

According to our commit list he was commited to SMU. He and Pettiway are now probably lost due to the 'issues' with JJ. More disconcerting is what might happen with a lot more of our commits as we start getting closer to the Feb. signing date. If we lose a lot more then they should just go ahead and dump jj. We're going to take a recruiting hit when he leaves, if that is happening now we need to go ahead and take the hit and clean house. It doesn't make any sense to have a bad class this year and then experience the same problem next year with the new coach.

just because you lose a recruit doesn't mean you can't replace him with some one better-recruit to the finish line

before all of this came up this guy said he was interested in Cal. We may or may not lose him - but if we do it aint over all of this stuff. Just because we all have our panties in a knot doesnt mean this is even registering that much with anyone else.

For most of the rest of the world it comes down to three lines - June considers ASU - they offer - he is staying. THey dont even care about the details.

Harper had said he was going to change to ASU when Jones was believed to be going there, so you know he is pro Jones. Apparently he is more pro Cal if this does occur. It happens. Go find another.

Pettway's decommit had zero to do with june jones/asu fiasco. If we lose harper, it also will have nothing to do with JJ as he wants to play for JJ...if Harper goes to Cal it will be because he has dreamed of playing in the PAC....not related to the "issues" with JJ as you say

Here is the latest article on Chris Harper from Crespi High School (Encino, CA):
http://247sports.com/Article/Free-Link- ... ffer-52629

It looks like he got an offer from Cal and he will be discussing with his parents.
I hope he goes to SMU. He is loaded with talent. And is a great fit for our offense.

Let's hope he sticks!!!

I do believe that Chris Harper would be the first Crespi player to play at SMU.

ClickClack is correct on both accounts. I don't mind June taking some heat for the ASU fiasco, because it's deserved. But this negativism needs to stop! And by the way, the end of the world in 2012 as foretold by the Aztecs had nothing to do with June talking to ASU either.
