Seeking Opinions
I'm weighing keeping my relationship with DISH or switching to AT&T Uverse.
In all seriousness, what does anyone think of Uverse. Do you like it? Is it a real upgrade?
Thanks

Re: Seeking Opinions
I have been thinking about ditching Time Warner as my bill keeps going up. Have heard good and bad about U Verse.

Re: Seeking Opinions
i have directv, but i did switch to uverse for a six month period last year.
i really didn't have any problems with it, but the things i really liked about it i can get on directv now, such as the ability to see all recorded programs on all tv's in the house. plus you can record up to 4 programs or so simultaneously on uverse.
the main reason i switched back to directv was for the nfl sunday ticket. if uverse offered that, i'd probably go back. you can get some good bundle deals with att. i currently have cell, home and internet thru them and get decent rates on all of them.
i haven't ever had dish, so i really can't offer a direct comparison of the two, but from what i've heard, uverse subscribers are generally happy.

Re: Seeking Opinions
AT&T's service is great. i've had problems with hardware, but since they've upgraded me to the new hardware, no issues. sometimes service goes out in my 'hood, but my house is near the switch box, so whenever they're expanding, we have short outages. it's not that big a deal. and if you complain enough (like i did - it was out for a week and my wife works out of the house so internet is a big deal - turned out to be hardware).
that said, they lowered my bill for a year to $40 less than what i was paying for the U300 package, and upgraded me to U450. AND took us from the 3rd fastest up/down speed for data to the fastest. PLUS gave me $75 in visa gift cards and all the movie channels for free.
i honestly was happy with the data & channel selection we had, but making a point of showing what they did when i told them that because of the (well documented) problems that i was going to have to switch providers.
no problems since. and now that they have the wifi boxes where you don't even need to run a line to the cable box, just plug in power and hook up the TV, it's going to make my remodel job we're doing easier.
long winded. i like AT&T despite the problems. WAY BETTER THAN TWC.
oh, and DTV is what we use at 1&10 it's good too. only reason i don't have it at the house is that when i REALLY need TV is when there's a bad storm or snow. which knocks it out. we can keep it on at 1&10 in the snow during the last couple years b/c we have a guy we pay $50 to climb up there and knock the snow off - like in the June Jones Hawaii Bowl!!!!

Re: Seeking Opinions
I honestly don't know how any sports fan can't have DirecTV - just the Sunday Ticket and UEFA channels make anything else a total nonstarter.

Guess that applies if you play fantasy football and like soccer.
