I remember 12.11.10 way too well. It was the day that I lost my 7 year old nephew in a car crash. After going through hell that day, I remember going to my parents home, tears in my eyes, and turning on the dvr to watch Pony Excess like a zombie. It sucks that I inexorably link up the documentary with death. The second time I watched it I received news of my life long family dog dying. Anyways, I find it interesting that such anniversaries can make some people so happy and proud, and others so miserable and somber. Either way Thad, you did a hell of a job and have since I watched the movie on my ipod, laptop, hdtv, and even touchpad. I'm glad things have turned out so well for you, you've made SMU proud.

So so sad to hear it, my brother.

Thad, Your movie was the reason I joined Ponyfans.com. I took notice of the SMU comeback when I was in Iraq and you guys won the Hawaii Bowl and said whoa wtf are they back or something? then I started watching SMU scores. The your movie came out on ESPN and I decided I had a new 2nd favorite D1 team. GREAT job dude. Also, please tell your associates that a guy I works for me that don't follow the college game had never heard the Marinovich story before and he was riveted. I found "the Marinovich Project" to be very well done. It's an old story but it's very worth telling over and over again. Not just for parents either, because I know quite a few people that have had their lives ruined by drugs. Most of us do, put the most promising NFL QB since Elway in there and if it keeps ONE kid from going down that path it was worth while.
