Yale just off Greenville I believe. It was behind a Greenville establishment and you entered down an alley. Always getting closed down for underage drinking. Whenever they were closed they would reopen at 12:01 of the first allowed open day and serve free beer to anyone who showed up from then until closing at 2:00am. They always assured themselves of reestablishing their customer base.

OK, don't forget Lu Anns at Lovers and Greenville...went up in flames in the 70's. What is now ZuZu's use to be a short order diner where you could get good ole greasy eggs and hash browns for breakfast. Varsity Bookstore was the only alternative to the SMU bookstore. Gordo's Pizza...use to be where the 7-11 on Mockingbird is now. It moved to a location off Cole just south of Knox and then sort of disappeared.

I believe that is where Milo's is now and the same location where the great Bowley and Wilson action got started along with their wet T-shirt nights.

If you talking about the redneck bar down towards deep ellum then its still there. A favorite of While Helmet. Surprisingly good burger there.

Actually, these folks are probably referring to Adairs when it was on Cedar Springs. That was before RL moved it downtown because his customers didn't get along with the patrons of the other establishments that were moving into the area.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Saw fiddler extraordinaire Alvin Crow and Ray Wylie Hubbard at Adair's when it was on Cedar Springs.

Mighty hard to beat Charles Gray-Les Watson and The Panthers at The Blackout for "the greatest visual show on earth".
