Actually. After retreading that, I realize you are a girl and I apologize.

2ndandlong, I assure you when one is colorblind it is sometimes wise to not shop alone.

Not a problem, in fact I have liked a lot of what you have said over the last week. Please stop by our BLVD tent next season I'd like to meet you.

Merchandise Licensing Question

Walgreen's on Mockingbird at Matilda. Guess they have no problem getting cheap merch. Also had an ad for SMU apparel scrolling on their sign.
Re: Merchandise Licensing Question
That's awesome! I'll have to check it out tomorrow.
Re: Merchandise Licensing Question
for many years smu seemed to have the attitude that "if crowds start coming to our football games,we will increase our efforts". this seems to be their merchandising theory also....smu desparately needs to improve its institutional identity with the folks who care about sports....smu has a marketing department with graduate students who can be utilized to do something....i hear it said that money from the big east will fund a marketing department...that is years away....there are a lot of folks on ponyfans who know how to market...the mustang club would be well advised to call a meeting to discuss marketing....but that might hurt the feelings of smu staff...come to think about it, i dont recall the mustang club ever doing much except raise money...

I understand they keep very tight controls on the license (may change when BE move is complete)... But you can't even buy SMU gear in their home golf course pro shop.... You can get TCU,TT, OU, and Texas, but nothing SMU.
Hopefully all that changes for the better when they get their new marketing department
I was visiting Dallas a couple months back. I was in a mall and I saw merchandise from UT, TCU, OU everywhere. Nothing from SMU. Difficult not to throw up, especially seeing all that tcu merchandise around. I've been accustomed to seeing UT and OU because they are large schools but to see more tcu merchandise around is unacceptable.

I tried to give a UNT shirt to a homeless guy once and he said he already had a bunch from when he was in school.
