If Klem leaves or if he stays... What Jones needs to do, and I am sure this is on his mind, is Hire COLT BRENNAN... before the UCLA's figure it out... The world will not stop if Klem leaves SMU.

While I like Klem based on the results he has delivered in his recruiting... The story goes, three years ago he was wandering the wilderness of the back nine, then Jones hooked him up not UCLA... So I give Jones a little credit on his recruiting and Klem deserves credit for identifying a good opportunity...

Recruiting is Marketing and Sales. Without a quality product to Market [deleted] don't move off the shelf... Jones had a hot product and a good reputation on a national level. SMU has a quality school and was getting a considerable amount of media exposure because of the Jones hire and our bowl win. Everything has been in place for Klem to be successful.

If you have been pleased with Klem and his nitch recruiting California.. just wait until Brennan gets on the recruiting trail... He is a National Sports phenom... He owned National Collegiate Records... He majored in communication... he has the gift of gab... he is single so the girls would follow him to the game... he has national recognition... he is non stop energy... he is the showman on the field that Jones and Klem are not... he will wear dread locks if it will help him win... he was the most famous Redskin on the team and never played a game... he would electrify the Student body and they would follow him to the field for the game... he would make bush look like the fool he is if in the same room... mothers with their children stand in line at four in the morning to get his autograph... he would give interviews, go to the luncheon and make you feel as big as Dallas...

Colt Brennan would show those kids by example how to be a R&S QB. Football is his life and coaching is his next move... He can relate to kids and recruit the best talent for the position on a national level that would include Texas........

Jones, Brennan, Klem, Morrison, Reinbold....... Regardless what shakes out with Klem, make a position for Brennan and get him on the road.... Just think of the possibilities.... Wake up and realize the potential.... start thinking positive, support Jones, the team and build it up instead of tearing it down...

that's a thought as a general assistant but he has no experience.

This team needs an assistant with some energy that understands this social media world and the new ways of doing things - I've seen firsthand enough of a lackluster team this year w/out any fire other than Davis and Reed.

Not a bad idea but I would still not want to lose AK. CB doesn't have 3 SB rings and no cred when it comes to talking about making it in the pros.
