Cutcliffe Fired At Ole Miss

Dec 1, 2004

Sources close to the Ole Miss football program say head football coach David Cutcliffe has been fired in a dispute over his assistant coaches. Those sources say the university fired Cutcliffe because of his refusal to dismiss some of his assistant coaches... reportedly, offensive coordinator John Latina and defensive coordinator Chuck Driesbach.

The apparent dismissal of Cutcliffe, who posted a 44-29 record in six seasons, comes just one year after he led the Rebels to a 10-3 record and a berth in the Cotton Bowl. Cutcliffe, the former Tennessee Vols offensive coordinator, was the only head coach in Ole Miss history to win at least 7 games in his first five years. The Rebels finished 4-7 this past season... their worst record in 10 years.

Cutcliffe was hired as ND's OC. An exellent, excellent hire.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.
