Trivia Question

Ok, so I got an email with a trivia question for a drawing at tonight's game. If anyone can answer it for me, I'll send you the email so you can enter too.

"Last season, the SMU men's basketball team notched its 100th win in the all-time series against Baylor. The100 wins over Baylor are the second-highest total against any opponent. Which school has SMU defeated the most times in the program's history?"

My guess would be Rice, any thoughts?

SMU leads the all time series with Rice 109-67. You dont have to send me the email, I already got it.

Just kidding. I got the same email you did, and I looked it up in an old SMU media guide, last night. Rice makes their media guide available online in a .PDF, so you can look it up there. Their site is www.RiceOwls.com

Here's another trivia question: 109 losses makes SMU the 2nd highest on Rice's all-time list. What team has beaten Rice more often than we have?

Good try, The Cougars completely dominated the Rice series until recently, but they havent actually been playing for very long, the series started in 1972, and the 2 teams have only met 59 times, in total. The Longhorns, on the other hand, have been rolling over the Owls since 1915, racking up 127 victories in the series.
