I agree with the stubborn comment. He should have worked with Justin Willis his first year here and should have had Padron starting the week after A&M this season. He does seem to get tunnel vision.

June doesn't attend well to details sometimes and, because of that, seems to wing it with the truth. Intuitive types are that way. Slightly bothersome sometimes.

The Hawaii thing is a little wierd maybe, but not offputting. Can even be slightly charming.

Everything else is very positive for me, especially the degree to which he's changed our whitebread, snobbish, exclusive attitude and our culture of losing.

I really do wish we can keep the snobbish part.

Good post and comments. I think the scorecard after next year will be more important. As it is now this staff has not been able to recruit offensive players after 4 recruiting classes. Seven of the starters on offense this year(four yrs after Bennet left) were Bennet committments or signees, one starter was a lb recruit who was signed on a recommendation and become a top rb, one was a transfer(qb) and one of his recruits has made all conference at receiver although off-the-field isues and academic struggles have been monumental to keep this player eligible. The reputation in the media of Jones as an offensive guru and bringing in top QB's and receivers who want to play in his system has yet to be seen. Guys recruited based on speed and quickness have not developed under the wr coach. Very disappointing so far considering the top high school talent within 50 miles of the campus. Unable to compete with disciplined marginal athletes from service academies both offensively and defensively. Two signature wins, TCU and short-handed Nevada in four years. Thank goodness for Rice, Tulane, Memphis, UAB, UTEP and 1AA schools to get us to where we only have to beat one or two average teams to be bowl eligible.

That is the cold hard truth.
