OMG how dare they!

I'd rather have "loyal" half-azz assistant coaches no one is interested in!
That way they'd be "loyal" and never leave!
Ya know like Bennett & Cavan were "loyal good guys" cuzz nobody wanted them!
We wanna preserve that "loyalty" at any cost!
Plus Bennett and Cavan didnt run the "Run & Shoot" and things were great!

OMG what if these assistant coaches are talking with another school,
not sure of what's gonna happen....but still are recruiting!
We know coaches get fired every December and these openings
happen every December...and also these recruiting situations
arise every December....but i still wanna have a hissy fit!

And we are all 100% sure there is no way over the last two weeks
Sumlin at Houston during all his interviews with A&M, Illinois, ect....
ever used Houston's dime to help himself get a better job. And
how could Sumlin dare interfere or cause turbulence with Houston's
recruiting while he spends time interviewing for multiple other
jobs! How dare Sumlin be talking to another school the same
week Houston has the great news of going into the Big East!
And then Sumlin goes and takes another job less than 2 months
until signing date! Ungrateful S.O.B.!

Happens just about every year @ every school...
but i'm still gonna scream bloody murder!

I'm gonna pretend if i got offered a better job that I would not consider taking
it because earlier I said "this is my last job" because at the time I thought it
would be....how dare I change my mind....damn liar I am!

oh and if i did consider the job offer i would never think about it,
talk about it, make a phone call about it while still at my old job...
cuzz dat be using my current employer's "dime" while thinking about
the new gig!

ok ok....i'll admit the truth.
i really know deep down that all these "reasons" I come up
with to demonize June are really just a cover for the fact that I am just
really, really, pizzed off that anybody would see another job as better
than the SMU job....I know it happens every year across the country
but after all this is not supposed to happen here, we always end up
having such lousy coaches we end up firing them.
I got used to that over decades...so when we finally got a good coach
that led us out of the darkness I was shocked that someone would
show interest and he might leave. Basically I think the guy sucks but
I love the people he hires like Klemm and am furious he would leave!

Yes. It's the irrationality of the June haters that astonishes me.

Just as the structural integrity of the knees of some of these June apologists shocks me. People have differing opinions about what happened, get over it.

Their hatred of him seems to consume their lives. It's scary. They post thousands of times over and over on this board, starting one thread after another. At least one of them has promised to give up his tickets so at least he won't be in the same stadium as the rest of us. That is a plus.

we could use 20,000 more of anyone who dwells on this message board, but it would be best if they lived in dallas and could buy season tickets and actually attend the games

you "missed" my basic message. We could use 20k more hard core fans like those of us who live on this board, regardless of their views about this coaching staff.

well, that's part of it. Wouldn't help to have 20k more like me sitting here in Charleston and only being able to afford 1-2 games a year at best

That is really what bothers me. I understand having different opinions about what went on and how to handle it. But some of these folks say the same things over and over and over to make sure we know just exactly how they feel. There are things about JJ that really tick me off as well. I can't stand the friggin brown shirt and lei he wears to the game. I want him in SMU colors. I want him out and about in the community talking SMU. Forget Hawaii". The horses don't bother me at all as long as Peruna is the main attraction and runs across the field. As long as we continue to improve recruiting, which I think we have, the other things are not deal breakers for me.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
