Didn't know British Columbia had a football team. Are they and Hawaii joining the Big East Conference? British Columbia: Defensive coordinator Mike Benevides will be announced as the new head coach tomorrow.

Texas DB Coach Duane Akina has applied-he was a finalist last time I think.

Interesting. After McElwain pulled out (to take the CSU job), I thought Kelly Skipper (Oakland Raiders RB coach) was the only finalist left but it sounds like he wasn't even interviewed. http://www.fresnobee.com/2011/12/12/264 ... inues.html Nice hire for Fresno.

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question (wouldn't be the first, likely won't be the last), but I thought Mouse Davis (the inventor of the R&S) stayed behind in Hawaii as an assistant under McMackin. If so, is there any chance his buddy June could bring him to Dallas to help get the offense humming the way it is supposed to? I would assume he'll be looking for a job, and maybe he brings the skillset/motivational ability/whatever it is to get the QB to understand the offense and get it clicking.
