Is it SMU arrogance to think we can just go get somebody from another BCS school who is a top 25 recruiter to come to SMU?

Money does a lot of talking. I make it a practice to not doubt angry rich guys.

Other schools have rich guys as well.

just for perspective I was reading where Clemson offered Chad Morris 1.3 Million to be an ASSISTANT Head Coach. Everybody wants the recruiting hotshots. A school like SMU has to develop them and then they move. We had a similiar situation under Cavan(?) when Oscar Giles went back to UT. That's why you need a staff geared to recruiting your recruiting base-not just one or two guys

cant be enough room in UCLA class for klemm and broussard's guys plus already existing bruin commits. Who knows...maybe marks and Lewis stay smu??

honestly, we should make a run at Houston's assistants that don't follow Sumlin. Or any member of Sherman's TAMU staff that is worth it.

Personally I can't believe RF won't be given a shot... He was pretty successful with limited resources at UNT (relativity speaking)...

Actually asked JJ that same question once and he said he was one of 5 guys he would hire, but since he calls his own plays, not needed. My point is he would be able to recruit the heck out of Dallas and Texas at large... Give him title of asst OC, receivers, half back coach.... Who cares, just bring him back to the hilltop, the guy will impress.
