Air Force Staying in the MWC--
On another note and lost in all of the Junegate stuff over the past week (old news I know) as it looks like we won't be traveling to Colorado Springs anytime soon to play AFA:
Air Force tells Big East it's staying in Mountain West

Citing loyalty to the Mountain West, Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michael Gould has informed the Big East Conference that the academy isn't looking for a new home.
At the same time Wednesday that the Big East announced that San Diego State and Boise State were bolting the Mountain West to join as football members only in 2013, Air Force announced it was staying put. The Big East also announced that Southern Methodist, Houston and Central Florida were joining the league in all sports.
"Last Friday, I called the Big East Conference commissioner and told him that right now isn't the time for Air Force to move to a new league," Gould said. "We're going to stay put and do what we can to shore up this conference."
"We have partners up and down the Front Range," Gould said, referring to Colorado State, Wyoming and New Mexico. "We're happy where we are, and we'll do what we can to help commissioner Craig Thompson stabilize the league. We're always going to do what we think is best for our students and the Air Force Academy."
Gould also addressed speculation that Air Force football coach Troy Calhoun might depart. The Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday that Calhoun had interviewed for the coaching job at Texas A&M.
Gould said he had been informed that Calhoun was staying at Air Force.

That's probably why Navy took their time and the BE added SDSU. Disappointed, but not surprised.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I would love to play at SDSU during TX OU. I hate that weekend in Dallas and normally try to go to Southern California anyway.

Wonder if this will change with Navy moving to join the BE. Also wonder how they can possibly turn down BE money once a new contract is made, especially compared to less money a depleted MWC will get.

Navy is in regardless of AFA. Several threads about this and I am too lazy to link them for you
