The DRUMMIN' COWBOY was back last night! Didn't have the hat (had sort of an Ashton Kutcher trucker hat look going last night ....), but when he got to the drums, he was BACK.
The Alumni Band (as always) sounded great!

Terrific performance. Great jazz twist on the Christmas songs. They could play more if the dadgum announcer would shut th' f up.

Hey now, Dan (announcer) is a great guy who does a terrific job. But I agree, the jazz twist on the holiday songs was great.

Come to the game on Monday night!
The alumni band will once again play it's jazz versions of Christmas Songs. We might even be able to better coordinate with the annoucer. Last night was a little rough, being our first game of the year.
Just send 'da money.

It was a nice, fun, loud time, too. It never hurts to mingle the old and the young, except in certain cases.
And the hat has been retired. I hung it up in the band director, Kehler's, office last spring after the WAC trip. Sorry, but thanks for the recognition.

When the Drummin' Cowboy makes an alumni appearance while the students are on break, the hat should be dusted off -- it completes the dancing/drumming image.
Bring back the hat!

If the D.C. himself makes an appearance with the band, I believe rules allow -- or require -- that the hat be dusted off.

Humph - no hat last night.
But an entertaining performance, nonetheless. Great job by the alumni band members!

Maybe if you got some distinctive headgear people would be saying "look at that bass player's awesome power stance!"......nah
