Jeff talks about recruiting or Pitt or the great work of the "kids"... but the elephant in the room is the fact that he has applied for the UH job.
8)

b/c as of now, he still has a job here. if you're an assistant you apply when a previous employer's HC job comes available. doesn't mean you'll get it, so you don't quit doing what you're doing until then.

i swear, none of you people must have ever had jobs

Things haven't gone the way we've wanted them to lately, but things could be A LOT worse.

We could be ECU and selling imaginary bowl tickets and wishing we were in the Big East.

Keep your fingers crossed....that he gets the Hawaii job. We need some good news for a change. Yes we lose a guy who can tweet and loves to do interviews and has perfected the coach speak but this is an opportunity to get a real wr coach..maybe one who has actually played and coached that position before and can recruit these TEXAS athletes! Good luck!

You're a moron if you think Reinebold has not done a good job. He is very well respected within the coaching community and has done good things with our receivers. I blame 90% of this year's offensive struggles on JJ McSuck's incompetence and playcalling to a lesser extent.

He has pulled his weight recruiting and is the best recruiter we have left on the staff.

Personally, I(and many posters on here) enjoy his updates. It's nice to hear what is going on and who he is trying to recruit.

Losing Reinebold would be a big loss

I agree; good luck to Jeff because he obviously wants to be a HC and to get an opportunity to return to a place you love in a job you covet...doesn't get much better than that for any of us.

It will be a loss for SMU, but the coaching profession is for gypsies...hard to lay down roots anywhere when that is your chosen profession.
