Hotels in bham

Post by Terry Webster »

I know that this is buried in pf somewhere, but this is a rather busy time and I don't time to wander through all of the postings, but i was wondering where folks have settled on staying for in Birmingham. Thanks.

Stay at the Sheraton and use business code 18000. Gets you a rate of $93. Or the Aloft is available at $109.

Sheraton, did the SMU package. $324 each... Includes 2 nights, transportation to/from game... Some kind of party, some other stuff too. Figured might as well stay where all the fun should be.

You will note that's $324 per person! Ridiculous for a couple to spend that!

agreed. esp. considering the sheraton online price for 2 nights is under $300. money left for a rental car and a steak dinner!
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Redmont hotel. Rooftop bar. Reasonably priced suites.

Redmont hotel. Biggest suite I could find downtown.
$408 all in for two nights, transfer to and from airport and driver to 3 mile radius of hotel.

But Im not rich like an smu MBA so I try to watch my costs. : )
I'm just a poor meadows grad. I can't afford the mustang club package.

Also consider the Tutwiler Hotel as well guys. I live in Birmingham and work close to The Tut. It's about 6 blocks from the Sheraton and is a Historic Property. But its not crumbling away as it just had a multi million dollar face lift and is a Hampton property. You will not be disappointed
