I know that after several games I needed a shot, or two, of Padron!

yes - we want gilbert to play next year. You are kidding?
It aint that hard to learn - Gilbert basically played it his enitre high school. June likes to act like it is hard since it feeds into his "im a genius, just ask me" complex.

If gilbert was able to transfer immediately, which is what I am hearing as well, would he be eligible for one year or two?
Padron will be back for sure, and Preston will be in the mix as well.

Maybe June will have a moment of clarity:
Picture it -- One night, June walks out to the field at Ford and sees a burning goal post. The goal post says to him:
"JUNE, LEAD MY PEOPLE. DUMP YOUR OFFENSE. IT NO LONGER WORKS. USE A FULLBACK AND A TIGHT END. THEN YOU WILL SUCCEED AT SMU.''
"Good idea, my Lord.''
''OF COURSE, IT'S A GOOD IDEA!''

The Run & Shoot is more complex than the spread. In the Run & Shoot the receivers and QB have to read the defense, In the spread the plays are pretty much set. Kyle ran the spread at SLC but it took him time to learn it.

Nice...

Padron. At least for the first 2 series of the season.

Theoretically couldn't he even stay at UT through the summer if needed to graduate? Would not be ideal in terms of learning offense since he would miss spring practice and summer workouts of course.

I don't believe that use a fullback at Minnesota, Ohio State (who is now running the spread), Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois.

Last Monday, when asked, I believe June said "we're going to be in good shape at QB" Nobody pressed him on details but we assumed Gilbert.

considering Gilbert has to sit out, that would be a bad assumption.
He means Padron or Preston.

Unless gg graduates from ut and comes to SMU as a grad student

I thought Gilbert was transferring in after Christmas... At least I thought I read that somewhere?

Mark My Words:
Gilbert will be eigible for the 2012 football season
I've never made a prediction on this board. I would only say something if I had a pretty reliable source and was pretty sure......If I'm wrong, everyone can smash on me and I'll never make another prediction again
