So looks like GG is gone... same for good parts of our recruiting class. Im really hoping we can edge a 7-5 season again, but with three big 12 teams.... not looking to good. I was really hoping for this years recruiting class since they would be the class to taste BE. Hopefully KP finishes off his year, and hope we can keep our top looking QBs.

Why do you say he is gone?

He may be talking about the Rivals front page, which states "Change of Plans". I still believe SMU faces a greater chance he doesn't make it to campus, but to say he's "gone" is a premature.
Higher risk, more immediate reward. Life is full of trade offs.

I don't get how anyone can think he is gone from anything that has been reported.
Frankly, I don't care about Gilbert one way or the other. Yeah, he was a highly rated recruit, but he didn't light the world on fire at Texas. A friend texted me during the June-ASU mess asking what this meant for Gilbert. I replied that I didn't give a [deleted] and the future of Garrett Gilbert was so far down the list of my concerns related to SMU football, it was somewhere below both future of Liberty and Justice and the cheerleaders' apron-like new uiniforms.

GG will be great for SMU to have. All you want are options - more quality competition means a higher likelihood of success. I don't care if KP or GG or CP wins the job next year. I just want more quality players. Coach Jones will pick the best player to run the offense and we will have a much higher probability of success.

I think the different colored side panels on the cheerleaders' uniforms make it look like they are wearing aprons over their uniforms.

people are just fishing for free content. All they have to do is pitch the negative slant and they know one of you will come running to spill the beans

And we thank said people for spilling the beans.
And since when was negative posting just for coaxing news out of people? I thought that was a prerequisite for even being on PFs.

I was told that by a friend of mine, who is friends with the Gilbert family. I have no reason to believe he would mislead me.

That Stallion is complaining about negative posting kind of made me chuckle
Re: So who's our starting Q.B. next season...
It appears to me that Gilbert and his family have read the rules and that if he graduates in may,he can enroll at smu immediately and be eligible to play in 2012....If that happens, it will be wonderful for smu...with proper coaching,he can be a wonderful qb....ut has failed with a number of its touted qbs because of poor coaching....lets get as many of their castoffs as possible...with jones now a bit more humble, perhaps next season will not be as bleak as some of you fear...i understand he has said " no more leis"...and he has started being seen in smu colors.
