Does anyone know why he is reconsidering SMU? Was it June's interview with ASU? It appeared a month or two ago that he was really set on SMU.

By all accounts, it was prohibited to return the Printz's calls as it was during an NCAA mandated dead period. That's the downside of running a squeaky clean program I gues. From what I've read, I would think that the Printz family is the type who would understand and appreciate that.

I am curious whether it would have been permissible for the coaches to contact pony pride and have him relay the information regarding the rule directly to Printz and his family.

Just more fallout from JJ's cute little fiasco. I really hope he is gone after Feb. loi's are signed.

Think maybe the UT transfer and 2012 arky QB had something to do with it? Sure Printz wasn't planning to redshirt at SMU...

He still may come here. I do not think he has ruled us out completely. Let's hope June's renewed commitment to the program and a bowl win against Pitt will sway him. :D

I think it comes from the fallout thing too. They placed all those contact attempts after that.
I want JJ gone too. I'm tired of some of his ways which is really a mind-trip, a way he gets control. People can say it's business but it's people too and it's abusive to them. I think he did that at Hawai'i. I think JJ used the ESPN platform to make it a national broadcast to complain about what he was not getting from Hawai'i.

The person with me said this:
Hopefully, the Printz family isn't shopping the QB. Doing a Newton. I know (some of those) programs "tip".

Who is the person with you and why would he say that? Sounds like a ridiculous comment to me. Kids change commitments all the time.

Word is the Printz family tried to get in touch with coaches at SMU but nobody would answer. The Printz ship has sailed I'm afraid. Unless he turns up at TCU I'll always pull for him though.

you can't call juniors until April per NCAA rules.

Here's another theory. He's a 17 year old kid with no real life experience to speak of. He committed to SMU way too early only to discover that he is a very hot commidity. Now he wants to see what's out there for him and enjoy the experience of being recruited by the top programs in the country.

That I would understand.

The telephone call story sounds silly.
