BEST GAME OF 2004WHICH IS THE BEST OVER ALL GAME PLAYED BY SMU IN 2004 SEASON IS IT THE FIRST WIN OF SEASON 2004 OR OVERTIME WIN OVER TULSA OR WHICH
I'd say Tulsa because of everything that had been going on throughout the week prior.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Pretty small pool from which to pick. A much more challenging exercise would be to isolate the worst game we played this year. Far more candidates from which to select.
Best Game: Tulsa
Worst Game: TCU Worst Game, part deux, Texas Tech, because we should have won. But TCU, gets the pick because we looked good enough to beat tech the week prior and laid an absolute egg against the froggies. But let's end on a positive note, I am encouraged by our overall home performances. Only one clunker in the group.
BEST GAME
Nevada. The San Jose win was just a "thank god the streak's over" win. Tulsa was a lot closer than it should have been. But we whipped Nevada, and acted like we expected to. That was a team that was showing signs of growing up. There's still a way, but to me, that was a benchmark game. HONORABLE MENTION Texas Tech. Yup, we lost. But we hung tough with a team that twice put up 70 points this year (including on TCU, and you'd have to live in Fort Worth to know how much I enjoyed that). But we stood there and fought the whole game with TTU, and after the game, Coach Bennett showed his team that he'd fight for them, too. That was an exciting game, and I was proud of our Ponies.
Nevada. Lots of exciting football plus Alvin Nnabuife became just the third player in NCAA history to return two fumbles for touchdowns in a game.
And because it fulfilled the vow I had made to not post on the football forum until the Mustangs had won 'two-in-a-row'! ![]()
