Quite a year for our cousins to the south....has to be their greatest year ever. They are ranked #12 in football and favored to win their first bowl game since 1993. RG3 won the Heisman. In hoops, the men are ranked #6 and women #1. They are doing something right in Waco.

My son-in-law, a good man except his obsessive love for the longhorns, started a bet last year between he and a Baylor alum. Loser has to wear the other man's school shirt for a day after the outcome of the Baylor Texas game. 2 years now and Baylor has won both years. In a town of 3,000 people, when a known UT fanatic and also town pharmacist has to wear a Baylor shirt, it is a big deal. The day he wore it was the first day of my visit including the elementary school Christmas pageant and dinner at a local establishment. I would wager 500 people approached him during the evening either laughing or expressing condolences.
