Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUHe's listed as a "soft verbal" on Rivals. I found that interesting and then you mentioned he might flip if Arkansas were to offer. I guess that makes sense...so lets just hope they don't. He looks like a great player to me.

Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUWell fellas, Burcham was offered by UAB over the weekend. Normally I would say no big deal, but Ark's old offensive coordinator is the new HC at UAB. Could be something there, I don't know. People I've talked to said he's still a solid commit to SMU but that he does want to check out UAB. I also heard a little about June's name coming up in HC searches at other schools may have upset him a little bit. I'll be up there after Christmas for a few weeks so I'll see what I can find out for you guys.
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUGoing to UAB over SMU would just be foolish
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUYeah that would be crazy
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUThe 'Bama Board of Trustees and Bear Byrant's son will probably tell UAB its not in their best interests to have a QB of Burcham's caliber and they will rescind the offer.
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUI would hope that we would not lose Burcham to UAB over this coaching fiasco that Coach Jones has put us through. If we did that would really hurt our program.

Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUSo we go from having possibly having two top QB recruits in a row (Burcham and Printz) to possible not having any. Good job June!
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUI'm not trying to fool anyone on here by making them think I know him or anything. I've never met the kid, but beings that Greenbrier has about 5,000 people in it, it's kind of hard not to know mutual aquantances. That being said the info I have put up here is what mutual friends have told me, one or two of which actually have an opinion that's worth something.
The other thing to worry about is that Arkansas lost it's commitment from Robert Gregory Ath/QB. There is speculation, and thats all I have seen so far is specualtion, that Arkansas could be getting ready to offer. My own opinion is that that isn't happening yet. Arkansas has a couple of other QB recruits they are looking at (which is why Gregory decommited) and I expect them to push for one of them as opposed to offering Burcham. For some reason I don't understand he is not as high on their board as these other kids.
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUPretty sure Arkansas will be offering the next Allen kid in line. Not sure if he is a senior this year but he is supposedly as good or better than his brother and daddy is still a coach at UA.

Are you sure Hulick is coming here. Let's hope you are right because crow doesn't taste to good. #HammerDown
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMUAre you sure he is not just playing the recruiting game as others do?

Close CB Adrian Burton's (Fla.) message for Mustang fans: "Prepare to go farther than uv been since the 1980s...SMU is back."
Re: QB Neal Burcham - Elite 11 Co-MVP commits to SMU
Sweet. Embrace the guys who want to come here and see what is obvious: You can START and SHINE in this program ON THE RISE!! If you're not bright enough to get that, we don't want you. Hulick, Burton, etc are the ones to embrace.
