Does this mean that Kaiser is out of the running? Been reading good words in the practice reports about him.

I don't think Kaiser was ever in the running, the guy couldn't get off the bench in the blowouts, that says a lot about what June thinks of him.

Kaiser, barring unforeseen calamity, will not be the quarterback at SMU. You really don't need inside knowledge after, as sbsmith noted, his shockingly noticeable lack of playing time this season. It would have taken an arrest of JJ McD for bank robbery to get him off the field, and if that happened, June probably would have just run some bastard hybrid wild Mustang set with Beasley.

If he's really that bad can't we get rid of him? He's eating up a scholarship.

Zach Line to QB. Prescott to RB. We got Lines in the backfield.

This guy was fishing for info because Rivals headline said Gilbert Not Coming-everybody with a subscription already knew what was going down. Its funny to some of us on the recruiting services because every time they put up one of their provacative headlines that sounds negative we get a lot of incorrect guesses on Ponyfans

I was really hoping for this years recruiting class since they would be the class to taste BE. Hopefully KP finishes off his year, and hope we can keep our top looking QBs.

Anybody know what the status of KP is? Will he be back or is he quitting?

I thought the main issue with Kaiser was that he was sick with mono that really zapped him of his strength? Assuming he recovers from that and gets back to 100%, does he factor into the race at all?

No. The illness ship sailed. The new ship is whatever is bad enough to keep June from ever even kind of maybe thinking about putting him in for a single snap against garbage competition or when a game is completely out of reach. JJ McD wasn't going to leave the field this year unless he were cuffed and arrested.
